Berlin-based online job platform StepStone has acquired Cammio, a Netherlands-based expert for video recruitment solutions.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Cammio offers innovative video solutions to support the entire application process, from the first contact with candidates and job interviews to the selection and recruitment of new employees.

Cammio was founded in 2013 by Walter Hueber (CEO) and Bas Dirkse (Chief Technology Officer) as an employer branding and video recruitment company with the mission of offering an easy-to-use tool to both recruiters and applicants.

The company employs a total of 20 staff in Den Haag and Düsseldorf. It offers digital job interviews and automated video interviews as well as video formats for motivation letters, video pitches and video messaging. These different video solutions are combined with speech-to-text technology, a scheduling module and AI-driven personality analysis.

Hueber will continue to manage the company after the takeover by the StepStone Group.

“StepStone has been offering video tool functions to recruiters in several countries since April, and now Cammio is being integrated into the StepStone product portfolio. StepStone will use Cammio to expand the product range in the field of video-based processes and drive further video-based innovations in the talent journey,” Dettmers said.

Last year, StepStone acquired German-based e-learning platform Studydrive and programmatic job advertising provider Appcast.
